Robo 3D and Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. tell their 3D printer collaborative story via video - September 20, 2016

ROBO 3D™, a designer and marketer of personal 3D printers, has broken the retail barrier and gained premier end cap placement with a display design that brings their product to life at store level. “The vision of the endcap came to life based on our ideas and working with their team was truly seamless,” said, Braydon Moreno, CEO, ROBO 3D, Inc. 

The relationship continued as the engineering team at Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. utilized the ROBO 3D printer as a tool for visualizing and testing intricate display designs for other client projects. The ROBO 3D printer became a great tool to validate display designs before spending time and money on expensive tooling or alternative design direction.

The ROBO 3D teams came together again to tell this collaborative story via video. LaCie premium external storage brand promotes high-tech product line at retail with in-line displays - September 13, 2016

The premium brand from Seagate Technology, LaCie designs high-tech external storage products for Apple® and PC users. To showcase their extensive line of products, an in-store display was designed and produced by Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. for use at retail.

LaCie in-line displays are placed in Micro Centers and independent computer retailers nationwide. Each display holds four LaCie products, allowing retailers to select options of the multiple external storage devices to be featured in individual locations. Displays were designed and engineered to securely accommodate multiple configurations of demo products and provide flexibility for each retailer at the time of order. The brushed metal finish and LED lit acrylic highlights the premium brand’s sleek designs and high technical performance.

Wilsonart unveils new Quartz Product Line - October 13, 2015

Wilsonart has utilized Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. to engineer, manufacture and ship a state-of-the-art display showcasing Wilsonart® Quartz. With a sleek brushed-metal finish, the display creates a unique architectural structure that holds up to 52 samples. The fixture holds the samples so that they appear to float. With the capability to receive, label, and collate the quartz to the display, is able to send the unit to stores fully assembled with the samples.

‘The Quartz display has been well received,’ said Kathy Calhoun, Marketing Services Manager, Wilsonart. ‘We are pleased with the positive feedback from our customers, and are happy to report the displays are being placed in showrooms across the U.S. What started as a concept with Standard Issue, of Brooklyn, NY soon turned into reality with the assistance of Frank Mayer and Associates to build the displays.’



We've gone PINK in support of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month! - October, 2015

Pink Possible 2015Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. is proud to participate in National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Breast cancer is the second most common kind of cancer in women. About one in eight women born today in the United States will get breast cancer at some point. The good news is that many women can survive breast cancer if it’s found and treated early.

During the month of October Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. has planned a variety of companywide events, to raise money and support Breast Cancer Awareness. Fund raising proceeds will benefit Aurora Health Care Foundation’s “Pink Possible” program, which provides breast cancer education, prevention and survivorship activities. Specifically funds will be used to help support community outreach that emphasizes the importance of screenings and early detection, as well as provide patients with information and resources designed to improve their knowledge about the disease and overall quality of life before, during and after treatment.

Aurora Health Care is the leading breast cancer care provider in Wisconsin, and is home to seven Comprehensive Breast Health Centers.

Creative Kingdoms brings gaming to life with new interactive gaming kiosks - June 16, 2015

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. has collaborated with Creative Kingdoms to streamline the production and implementation of their new Interactive Gaming Kiosks.

As a wholly owned subsidiary of Great Wolf Resorts, Creative Kingdoms is a successful company behind several immersive, live-action games. With the partnership of Creative Kingdoms and Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. we have produced two new versions of an Interactive Gaming Kiosk. The kiosks can be seen in Great Wolf Lodges across the country as part of the brand new series of The Clubhouse Crew: Great Wolf Kids Adventures. These games are an interactive scavenger hunt that leads players on an adventure throughout the lodge to meet the Great Wolf Kids using their personalized activation device, a stuffed animal containing an IR Node, to play.  

Children of all ages will enjoy engaging with the characters and playing a variety of mini-games on these kiosks. Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. worked with Creative Kingdoms to load the software, provision and test the PCs. This allowed for a complete turnkey solution and easy installation on site.

Clorox keeps your pool and spa water clean with the new Clorox® Pool&Spa™ My Pool Care Assistant™ Kiosk - May 12, 2015

Biolab_755x675.pngFrank Mayer and Associates, Inc. has teamed up with Clorox® Pool&Spa™, a leader in swimming pool and spa care systems, to develop the Clorox® Pool&Spa™ My Pool Care Assistant™ Kiosk.

This easy-to-use testing station includes a tablet pc, customized software application and instruction guide. Placed in select Walmart stores, the counter display allows consumers to test their pool and spa water with the placement of a small amount on a testing strip. This testing strip is then analyzed by the kiosk to recommend a product match. All together, the counter display creates a DIY experience for consumers and completes the decision making process.

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. has engaged with Excentus Corporation, owner and operator of the Fuel Rewards® program, to design and produce tablet-based kiosks to support its loyalty program. The Fuel Rewards kiosks, rolling out in participating Shell stations nationwide, allow Shell customers to join the Fuel Rewards program and activate their Fuel Rewards cards quickly and easily.

Features of the kiosk include magstripe readers that allow customers to swipe and activate their rewards cards and changeable graphics and brochure holders to advertise seasonal promotions. The tablet-based kiosks are custom designed to accommodate future updates, with a secure enclosure to protect from retail theft. Both floor and counter units have been designed to fit within varied retail environments, and floor kiosks utilize adjustable leg levelers to allow for different floor surfaces.

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. has teamed up with Mizuno in the design and production of the latest Golf Wedge display as part of the expanding line of Mizuno sporting goods merchandisers.

Placed in sporting goods retailers nationwide, the point-of-purchase display includes a modular construction which allows for both single and double-sided fixture configurations in store. Designed to fit in a variety of environments, the branded display has the ability to hold up to 32 wedges within a molded base along a customizable graphics area. The Mizuno sporting goods team of displays, produced by Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc., also feature golf clubs, baseball bats and running shoes.

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. hits a home run with goCharge Tabletop Charging Stations - October 31, 2013

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. has partnered with Hercules Networks Inc. to engineer and produce goCharge Tabletop Charging Stations. Worldlink Integration Group, Inc. is handling the logistics, installation, site surveys, and ongoing maintenance for the charging stations.

Charging Stations, available in a tabletop and wall mounted design, accommodate smartphones, cellphones, iPads and tablets.Sports fans can walk up to the tabletop kiosk, plug in their mobile device to the corresponding charging system, and enjoy the game while their device is charging.

Each tabletop charging station has been designed with a distinctly styled center pedestal and is topped by an easy-care round glass tabletop, to protect the charging mobile devices. Wall mounted charging stations feature cubbies to hold phones and can be outfitted with or without lockable doors. Additional modules can be connected to add more chargers, depending on each location’s needs.

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. along with co-entrant AGI In-Store congratulate Nintendo of America as the recipient of the Platinum and Best of the Times award presented by the Path to Purchase Institute at the 2013 Shopper Marketing Expo. Introduced and launched into retail stores nationwide, the Nintendo Wii U Interactive display allows consumers to engage with the gaming system in a retail setting while reinforcing Nintendo’s brand presence.

The Path to Purchase Institute announced the winners in the 2013 Design of the Times Awards competition October 9 during the Shopper Marketing Expo in Chicago. Nintendo of America won a Platinum award in the Mass Merchandisers category and took home the coveted "Best of the Times" award for its Wii U Interactive Display Program.

Fifty judges convened August 7 at the Path to Purchase Institute headquarters in Chicago for first-round judging of the nearly 230 entries competing in the 18th annual competition, which celebrates the most inspiring and creative in-store campaigns and tactics of the previous year. The judges selected 123 entries to vie for the top awards in the competition’s eight retail channels: supermarket/grocery, consumer electronics, convenience, drug, home center/hardware, mass merchandiser, specialty and sporting goods.

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. has been awarded a Gold Outstanding Merchandising Achievement Award (OMA) in the Health Care category for the SoloHealth Station® at GlobalShop 2013. A Gold OMA in the Entertainment category has also been awarded for the Nintendo Wii U Interactive Retail Display Program, to Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. along with AGI In-Store. The Transitions Optical UV LED Demonstrator Display was awarded a Bronze OMA in the Personal Products and Accessories category. The OMA award recognizes the most innovative and effective in-store media in each industry category at retail.

The SoloHealth Station® is an interactive, self-service health-screening kiosk that empowers consumers with free and convenient access to healthcare screenings, which include vision, blood pressure, weight, and body mass index; and provides an overall health assessment report.

For the launch of the Nintendo Wii U Interactive Retail Display Program in the marketplace, Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. along with AGI In-Store collaborated and designed a unique display that defines a dedicated console space at retail and provides a personal interactive experience for shoppers.

The Transitions UV LED Demonstrator Display educates consumers and provides selling tools for store personnel regarding the variety of photochromic lens options available. UV-LED lights are used to simulate outdoor UV rays to allow consumers to experience how quickly Transitions lenses adapt to changing light conditions.

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. enhances the ultimate flooring experience with Johnsonite®, a Tarkett® Company - March 8, 2013

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. has partnered with Tarkett to design and produce a merchandiser for Johnsonite, a Tarkett Company.

Johnsonite’s Main Street flooring display is designed to build brand awareness in the marketplace and educate users to gain a better understanding of the commercial flooring materials under the Johnsonite brand. Designed for contractor showroom use, the schematic includes molded, updateable sample pods to organize the four commercial categories of samples. Customers are encouraged to utilize pull out color-coded sample boards, to aide in the selection process. Included within the design, is a high-capacity pull out drawer for added storage.

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. has teamed up with Mizuno, USA to design and produce an athletic shoe display to showcase their products at retail. The display showcases Mizuno’s top performance athletic shoes allowing consumers “hands-on” access to the product.

The Mizuno shoe display was designed with adjustable shelving to accommodate a variety of athletic shoes. Placed in sporting goods stores nationwide the two-sided branded display features a compact footprint to maximize their retail impact. Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. has teamed up with Leupold & Stevens®, a leader in designing, machining, and assembling precision optical instruments, to develop the Leupold Optics Merchandiser.

The Leupold Optics Merchandiser allows consumers to make purchasing decisions based on hands-on familiarity with the sporting optics products. Placed in Cabela’s®, Bass Pro Shops and other regional sporting goods retailers nationwide, the merchandiser showcases various riflescopes, binoculars and rangefinders, giving the consumer the opportunity to experience the Leupold® product options available. 

A first for sporting optics, the displays are set up within the store environment, instead of behind the counter, which allow for consumer engagement at the store level. Informational product guides, updatable graphics and ease of merchandising product, assist the consumer to make informed decisions on Leupold® product selections.

The Blockbuster Evolution Halo category signage program provides category signage to designate specific areas in Blockbuster stores. The custom signage spans 96” in diameter and coordinates within three main categories. This branded store signage solution enhances the layout of the store and consumer convenience.

The Transitions Optical Interactive Product Demonstrator program educates consumers and provides selling tools for store personnel regarding the variety of photochromic lens options. The program includes a UV-LED Demonstrator display and Lens holder and the Vantage™ Glare Demonstrator and Lorgnette. A graduate of the Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design, Lepianka will be in charge of the design, model shop and engineering departments. Lepianka brings over 13 years of design experience, including award-winning displays to interactive kiosks, for Fortune 500 retail and brand-marketing clients.

The changes include a new corporate logo, redesigned company website and overall re-branding effort. The newly designed logo features softer lines, typeface and style to appeal across all client demographics. The overall look reflects today’s Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc., a client-driven, creative, responsive and thorough organization that continues to expand its presence in the retail marketplace.

“We are updating our visual identity to meet the rapidly changing face of retail and our entry in new markets. Our strong client-focused commitment remains the same, having consistently delivered successful results throughout our 80 year history,” according to third generation president, Mike Mayer.

The company website, www.frankmayer.com, will go live today and the new logo will be applied on all corporate and marketing identity materials. This process included a review of comments clients have used to describe Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. Rising to the top of the list were three words; creative, responsive, and thorough. These words have been incorporated into a theme line for the new logo, and will also be featured in various company branding statements and applications.

In addition, Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. will continue to research, develop, and provide the industry with a variety of white papers and articles dealing with current subjects and make them available at no cost on the new web site as well as through their online trade media advertising.

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. introducesretail ready-to-go items- November 15, 2011

To better meet the needs of retailers and brand marketers, Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. has developed and introduced several “Retail-Ready” items to enhance the retail selling experience for both consumers and retail personnel. 

These items include field-tested Security Cabinets, a unique SlideBuy™ Interactive Shelf Merchandising System, and a Tablet PC Floor Display. Inspired by common challenges facing many retailers today, these units reflect Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. proprietary merchandising design and engineering innovations, and can be branded for a wide variety of retail situations and needs.

The Security Cabinets feature glass doors that slide on rollers mounted on both the top and bottom tracks. Designed with additional built-in flexibility, these units can be easily mounted to or sit on all the standard retail fixture gondola systems. Available in several sizes, one style features a vertical transparent “roll-top” door, fashioned from durable thermoplastic polyester (PETG) panels.

The SlideBuy Shelf Merchandising System makes it possible to put a tablet PC on a track that slides along the front of a retail shelf.  The result is a state-of-the-art interactive presence that can be moved to access product or restock the shelf with product. This system also effectively secures the tablet PC, which can also be branded by developing a custom bezel to surround it. Designed to accommodate most tablet PC computers on the market, this unit brings an interactive message to the shelf, in-line, without disrupting product placement.

Finally, the portable Tablet PC Floor Display offers several opportunities for branding, using either temporary or permanent approaches and materials. 48 inches tall, this versatile display has a very modest 18” by 14” footprint, and can effectively secure a wide variety of tablet PC’s, including the iPad.

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. reached a recent milestone with the production of a new series of LEGO Display Mini-Figures, marking 20 different versions of this popular display since introducing the LEGO Construction Worker in 1999.

Developed primarily for the LEGO European Market, the latest Display Mini-Figures include a Fireman, Policeman, Robber, Diver, Shark, Ninjago, Sensi, Racer, Garmadon, and Santa which replicate actual characters in the LEGO sets. Fashioned from colorful, durable plastic components, they provide a unique in-store branding presence and generate important awareness and traffic. These Mini-Figures are available in two sizes, 21 and 39 inches high, and feature moveable arms, legs, and heads so they can be posed, to meet the merchandising needs in a variety of retail environments.

PACCAR Parts' TRP LED wall display merchandises replacement lights for trucks, trailers or buses. Placed in TRP Authorized Retailers across North America, the illuminated, wall mounted display is placed in the parts department and assists customers with locating the correct product for their vehicle.

Self-service motor vehicle kiosks create customer friendly access to DMV registration - August 23, 2011

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. has collaborated with Intellectual Technology, Inc. to develop self-service kiosks in a variety of Department of Motor Vehicle (DMV) branches. The DMV branches have been in states such as Nevada, California and South Dakota.

ITI self-service kiosks provide self assisted, full-service capabilities at these DMV sites. Each ITI self-contained terminal houses fully integrated systems which allow consumers to complete a variety of DMV transactions. California DMV consumers have embraced the kiosks and the available convenience and secured features offered by the self-service terminals.

Produced by Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc., each self-service DMV kiosk is protected by a sturdy bank ATM-style enclosure, and engages customers in a user-friendly environment incorporating touch screen technology with high resolution graphics. Using graphics and audio instructions to assist the customer, instructions are provided to consumers with directions on how they can process the available individual transactions. These DMV kiosks employ various security features such as tilt switches, intrusion detection switches, separate locking compartments, individual locking devices, a level one safe, CCD camera, and the ability to interface with building and other exterior alarm systems to provide the highest level of security.

All transactions on the kiosk are processed using debit and credit cards, cash or checks. Units with cash acceptance capabilities can provide paper and coin change.

Terri Carter of the Nevada DMV stated, “The Nevada DMV Self-Service terminals have been extremely successful, far exceeding our usage expectations. We have consistently received positive feedback from consumers on the ease of use, customer friendly screens and transaction time speed.”

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. worked with MasterBrand Cabinets, Inc. to develop two new cabinetry selection center display programs, branded Diamond and Diamond Vibe.

The Diamond and Diamond Vibe Selection Centers showcase a variety of cabinet door selections including available styles, species and finishes. Placed in independent dealer locations, the selection centers showcase a variety of cabinetry choices for newly built or remodeled homes. Designed and produced by Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. the selection centers have a custom hanging system for ease of selection and a transitional style which fits well with a furniture look and appeal.

The selection centers have product information panels with the Diamond Selection Center boasting an optional 10” touch-button LCD monitor with four panel touch buttons. Streaming four videos, including 2011 new products, brand story, color, and storage, consumers are drawn to the display for more information.

Frank Mayer and Associates, Inc. has designed and produced a new Generator Display Stand for Yamaha Motor Corporation.  Placed in Yamaha Motor dealers and specialty sporting goods retailers, this display merchandises three Yamaha Generators, including a variety of key accessories.

The Yamaha generator unit was engineered to display and secure selected generator models in retail environments, within an accessible, compact floor footprint. Each Yamaha Generator display includes product fact cards for each generator model, identifying important features of each.

These permanent displays also include an optional interactive component, in the form of a compact mpeg player, featuring a 7" screen and an updatable selection of educational videos for each model. Accessories for the generators are available for purchase, and are conveniently located on the side of the display.

Executive Vice President – Self Service Kiosks of the Digital Screenmedia Association, an international trade group.  He will serve on the Association’s Advisory Board of Directors, representing the member companies involved in self-service kiosk marketing.

The Digital Screenmedia Association (DSA) is the largest non-profit trade organization representing companies that provide a broad range of customer engagement technologies and services, which includes digital signage, self service kiosks and mobile solutions. The DSA’s mission is to advance the growth and awareness of customer engagement technologies through advocacy, education and networking.

Designed and produced for Microsoft Corporation the interactive displays demonstrate the Windows Phone 7 operating system allowing consumers to use the latest smartphone technology.

Placed in key international mobile operator retail store locations, the Microsoft Windows Phone interactive kiosk and counter displays inform and educate consumers on the features and benefits of the new Windows Phone 7 operating system available today in the recently launched next generation of mobile smartphones.
